º.- Anaerobic fermentation of olive oil mill wastewater (OMWW) and pomace (OMW) from old olive trees in dryland.
º.- Bioconversion of OMW and OMWW to produce laccase, xilanase and Mn Peroxidase.
º.- Bioremediation of OMW and OMWW to reduce phenolic compounds by means of several white-rot fungal strains.
º.- Bioremediation of OMW and OMWW to reduce phenolic compounds by laccase addition.
This way we are the main company in the world that can produce biogas from OMW and OMWW in a profitable process.
º.- Lignin degradation on beech and other woods to obtain reducing sugars (focussed to second generation alcohol production) . We have tested more than 40 white-rot fungal strains to develop this process.
.- Natural dyes degradation (Indigo carmine, amaranth, RBBR, and others).
.- Bioremediation of dairy and juice industrial wastes, by means of bioconversion of wheat straw and orange peelings into active high value biocompounds like certain enzymes and antioxidants. The by-products from these processes are highly biodegradable as lignin, essential oils, nitrogen and other inhibitor or toxic products are used on fungal growt, obtaining a higher biogas feed-back on anaerobic fermentation and a better quality on waste water
º.- And other processes under develop.
